One of Andi’s favorite things to do is climb stairs. She can spend all day going up and down. When we were out taking photos last week, we came across these steps so naturally, she had to tackle them. She went for about 15 minutes before she decided she needed some gold fish and mandarin oranges to recharge her batteries.
We recently got this new diaper bag to give our other one a break. They are both amazing bags. Each has various pockets inside to keep everything organized. I like that the new one can convert into a backpack. It also has exterior pockets which makes it easy to keep sippy cups, phones and keys easily accessible. There are so many designer baby changing bags out there that it can be overwhelming to choose just one.
Andi’s sweater is an older color but there is a newer version which is adorable!
Today I am finally wearing a faux fur coat I bought from Piperlime (RIP) a few years ago. I was worried it was going to go out of style before I could get a chance to wear it but luckily, I was wrong. There are so many options out there and they are definitely “in” this season. I have linked several ones similar to mine at the bottom of this post. My jeans are so soft and stretchy, and under $60! I also have them in white. What are some of your favorite faux fur coats?
TGIF, am I right? I am loving the tiered sleeve sweater trend right now. It adds a nice detail and freshens up the average ribbed sweater that has been done over and over. I have paired mine with my favorite midi skirt from Rachel Parcell. This color is gorgeous and perfect for this season! I have already worn mine several times. It also comes in black. She just came out with three amazing new pieces. Check back next week when I share this beautiful pink eyelet skirt!
I have found the cutest plaid midi dress and it is on sale for $22.99! They don’t have many sizes left, so hurry over to get yours before they are gone. I decided to put a black turtleneck underneath so I could wear it during our cold front here in Florida. I love being able to layer during this time of year. My booties are on sale and come in black or red.
Florida is finally catching up with everyone else on the cold weather. It has been freezing, for us anyway. I decided to break out my faux leather leggings and these suede wedge ankle booties. I am obsessed with both! The leggings are by SPANX. They are so slimming and control all the problem areas. They also come in a really pretty gunmetal and wine color. My lipstick is my absolute favorite nude lip color. It goes on smooth and lasts for hours.
I know Lilly Pulitzer just had their big After Party Sale, but have you checked out some of their new items? The pieces are absolutely stunning! I knew I had to have this caftan as soon as I saw it. It is the perfect length and the gold detail is even prettier in person. I also really like this white and even the green one. They all look great with strappy gold heels or gold wedges! Be sure to check out their website on the 9th for even more new arrivals!!
Are you getting used to writing “2017” yet? It might take me another week or two, but I’ll get it. 🙂 Since over the knee boots are big again this year, I wanted to share one way I like to wear them. I love these with white skinny jeans and a loose sweater. I have also found this identical pair for a fraction of the price! There are so many different colors, heel heights and styles. I really love this pair, too! They look great with jeans, skirts, dresses and even rompers and shorts! Dress them up or down. I like that they tie in the back to help keep them from sliding down.
My sweater is currently on sale with an additional 40% off. It comes in three different colors!
Whether you live in Florida year round, or just visit during our “winter”, it can get pretty tricky when it comes to picking out or packing an outfit. We don’t really get a true winter. I like to refer to it as periodic cold fronts. Even when we do get a cold front, half the time it is freezing in the morning, hot in the afternoon and back to freezing when the sun goes down. Layers are key for optimal comfort and survival. Luckily, the coldest it has been so far is in the 50’s. For our first temperature drop, I decided to wear my favorite cable knit sweater. It comes in three different colors ( I really like the heather carbon) and it is on sale with an additional 30% off with code BIGSALE! I have paired it with a skirt I bought during a Black Friday sale. It was originally sold out but they have restocked and it is available in most sizes again! If you like it, I would grab one now before they sell out again. I don’t think they will last long. If it were a little colder, I could add some tights for a perfect winter ensemble. Check back this week, as I will be adding more Florida winter styles!
I can’t believe it is almost 2017! Where does the time go? A few months ago we had our family photos taken by a high school classmate of mine, Synthia Therese Photography. She did an amazing job! Andi can be a little difficult to photograph, but Synthia captured some beautiful moments. She even made and laugh, which can sometimes be impossible. The whole process was easy and stress free. Synthia set me up with a local makeup artist to go to before our shoot, which took about an hour, and then we met her at a grassy location to take our pictures. We were done in about 30 minutes. She edited the photos within a few weeks. There were a lot of great ones to choose from, but these were my favorites. I love how natural and timeless her work is. Click here to see her gallery. If you are in the Bay area, I highly recommend Synthia for your family photos!
I hope you have all recovered from Christmas. Now it is time to prepare for the New Year! I have found the perfect sequin skirt just for the occasion. I am wearing it with a black turtleneck but I am going to pair it with the matching crop top for New Year’s Eve. Both pieces are on sale. It also comes in a dress version for another great NYE option. Check back next week to my evening out attire!
