Can you believe Thanksgiving is TOMORROW?!? I went to the grocery store early yesterday morning to get everything we need. Much to my surprise, there weren’t many people shopping. I am sure today is a different story! I will share some of my favorite recipes on the blog next week.
I picked up this dress from Scout & Molly’s Boutique a few days ago and am amazed at how soft it is! It is the perfect pink dress for Fall! The fabric feels great on my skin and I love the added detail of the flare sleeves. I have paired it with some OTK boots for now, but it would also look great with tights, boots, a scarf or even a furry vest later this winter. If you aren’t in the Sarasota area, give Scout & Molly’s a call to order this pretty pink dress! 941-955-2170. They also have an amazing sale going on this week. You can follow along on their Instagram.
I put together some of my favorite beauty products in this holiday gift guide. These make great gifts because they aren’t always something you would want to buy for yourself but would be thrilled to receive them as a gift.
First on the list is this tarte Limited-Edition Treasure Box Collector’s Set. It includes a 24-piece eyeshadow palette, two bronzers, warm and cool toned blushes and a pearlescent highlighter. Inside the storage compartment is a full size Sex Kitten Eyeliner and travel sizes of mascara and quick drying, matte liquid lipstick. I do not have this set but I would love to find it under the Christmas tree!
Second on my beauty gift guide is the T3 Whirl Trio. I got this a little over a year ago and it is the only thing I use to curl my hair. It comes with three interchangeable barrels. You can achieve any look you want, from want beach waves, spiral curls or full-bodied waves. It has 5 adjustable heat settings (260-410-F). I use the second to the highest. I have been wanting to try their straightener since I love the wand so much.
The next item on my guide is a product that I wrote a post on several months ago. Smile Brilliant is a teeth whitening system that you can customize. You choose according to your sensitivity and what level of staining you have. I have pretty sensitive teeth, so I opted for the desensitizing gel which you can use after each use of the whitening gel. They send you tray molds with a return label so you can get a custom fitted tray. Unsure about the whole teeth whitening process? Here are 10 facts everyone should know. Click here for any FAQs you might have. This is a great gift, especially going into the New Year. #newyearnewme right?!
The Foreo Luna is a favorite in my house. Even Anthony uses it! It is a silicone facial-cleansing brush that deep cleans making your skin brighter, firmer, and more youthful-looking. I love how soft my face feels after using it. There is even a mini version for travel.
Lastly on my beauty gift guide is an item that is actually at the top of my list for Santa this year: The Glopro in limited-edition rose gold. It stimulates skin’s natural healing responses to induce micro-rejuvenation deep within for a visibly firmer, smoother, younger-looking appearance. Who doesn’t want to look younger?? What it does: As MicroTips pass over the skin, the rejuvenation process begins immediately. I have been wanting to try this and now that it is available in rose gold, I am sold. If Santa should drop this off for me, I will do a post on it with my review.
I hope this beauty gift guide was helpful. I will be doing a few more over the next couple of weeks. Are there any specific categories you would like to see?
I love a good button down shirt, so when I found this one with a scallop detail I knew I had to have it! It runs a little big so size down. I am wearing the xs. My jeans are from Scout & Molly’s Boutique in Sarasota. They are so soft and comfortable that I cannot stop wearing them! Check out the post I did on their boutique a few weeks ago. They have the cutest things and are always getting in new merchandise.
Today I am wearing these trendy oversized cuff jeans that I have been seeing everywhere. I wasn’t sure how I was going to like them but I think I am a fan. I found them on sale so grab a pair before your size is gone. What is your favorite trend right now?
It’s Monday again! We are quickly creeping up on Thanksgiving. Everyone is still adjusting to the time change. I still cannot decide if I like this or Daylight Savings time better. Andi and I have really been enjoying the Christmas station this week. I cannot wait to show her all of the classic Christmas movies. She saw a few last year but I think this year everything is going to click for her.
Today I am wearing this extremely comfortable green stripe swing sweater that I ordered a few weeks ago from Goodnight Macaroon. I am never disappointed when I order something from them. This sweater is the perfect thickness made of a soft stretchy fabric. It comes in other colors and is under $60. I highly recommend it! I have linked all of my outfit details at the bottom of this post.
Today I am wearing my favorite OTK boots that I just got from Amazon. They are the best Stuart Weitzman Lowland dupes that I have seen, and they are under $100! They also have the Highland version. I really like them because they stay up on your legs. Others I have tried in the past tend to slouch down and get loose during wear. These are a great option if you live in a warmer climate and don’t want to invest a lot of money into boots that will only be worn a few times a year. I have linked my entire outfit below!
Did anyone go to any Halloween parties this weekend? I did not, however, we did take Andi and her cousin Paulina to Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival. The girls had a great time! Andi could not stop talking about the cannon that shot a pumpkin out of it. We all enjoyed the hayride, corn maze and of course, the food!
I am excited to tell you about my new favorite boutique in Sarasota! If you are in the area, you must check out Scout and Molly’s Boutique! The selection is amazing and there is something for everyone. From trendy fashion pieces to casual everyday wear, they have it all. Everything in the shop is high quality from the fabrics down to the extra attention to detail.
I picked up this outfit a few weeks ago from Scout and Molly’s Boutique and I am obsessed. I can mix and match each piece to create many other looks. My cardigan is currently my most favorite thing in my wardrobe. I have worn it numerous times and just can’t get enough! I love the texture and it feels so soft and silky. My top is faux suede and the dusty rose color is great for almost every season. I have been wanting a pair of jeans like this for a while now. I like the slight bell bottom with the raw edge. They have a little stretch to them and are thick enough so that they are not see through. (win win!)
If you aren’t in the Sarasota area, give them a call and order over the phone! 941-955-2170
Make sure to follow them on Instagram for the newest arrivals and outfit inspiration!
The temperatures have finally dropped here in Florida! It was in the mid 70’s most of the day and got down to the 60’s last night. It is finally starting to feel like (Floridan) Fall! On Monday night, we went over to my in laws to carve pumpkins and decorate Halloween cookies. It was our first time carving a pumpkin. I found a Disney Princess carving set that came with several stencils. Andi wanted a Cinderella pumpkin so Anthony worked on that for over an hour. Head over to my Instagram to see the finished product. It looks incredible!
I am obviously into the black and blue combo right now. I shared this look last week and here I go again! I just love how it looks and it is perfect for this season. My mock neck floral midi dress is just under (one penny to be exact) $40. I like that it has almost a gothic edgy look to it, making it a great dress to wear this month.
It has been a few days since I have done a blog post. Sorry about that! I am in Philly for business and haven’t had much time to get anything together. I have never been around this city before. It reminds me a lot of NYC. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go explore this afternoon, but I decided to stay in my hotel room to relax and catch up on some work. I also plan on doing my BBG workout that I missed last night! (oops)
This is what I wore this afternoon for meetings.I love the black and blue combo, and tights are my favorite layering piece for Fall. They can make rompers, dresses and shorts more appropriate for cooler weather. My heels are an older style but I have found a great dupe that are only $74! For the meeting, I did trade out the heels for a pair of black heeled booties, which Andi calls “Anna’s boots”… You know, Elsa’s sister. She insists on wearing them every day with her princess dresses. I hope she didn’t need them this week.. haha! I go home tomorrow morning and cannot wait to see Andi and Anthony. 🙂
We are back from a short trip to Disney World. Andi had the best time! We attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party the first night we were there. If you haven’t been before, you need to purchase a separate ticket for the event. (Yes, even if you are already a passholder). It is totally worth it. The party is from 7pm-midnight. Since we are already passholders, we spent the first half of the day around Magic Kingdom. Mid afternoon we made our way to the hotel for a little nap before the party. After our naps (we all needed one) Andi put her Snow White costume on and we went back to the park.
Side Note: We had originally planned to let her pick out a princess costume at the Magic Kingdom for her to wear, but I spotted these at Wal-Mart for only $15! It was really hard to pass up since I could get 4 for the price of one at the park. She loves them and wears a different one each day.
Since you need a special ticket to attend Mickey’s Halloween party, the park isn’t as packed as it usually is. Don’t get me wrong, there are still a ton of people there, but it isn’t as bad. Upon entering, each person is given a wrist band and a trick or treat bag to collect candy. They turn off the Fast Pass options so the lines move a little faster. We didn’t have to wait long at all for the rides we went on. There are trick or treat stations throughout the park, marked by life size candy corn colored inflatable signs. You can’t miss them! Andi got the hang of trick or treating in no time at all! Along with a ton of candy, there is a fun Halloween parade, fireworks show, and a ton of rare Disney characters throughout the park. Some are dressed in their own Halloween costumes!
Here is the outfit I wore on the way home. This loose and casual dress is perfect for travel. The fabric is super soft and comfortable. I love that it has pockets! The best part, it’s only $38!
