I am excited to share this look with you, as it was one of my favorites. My dress is from Free People. It is a nice thick suede. It was perfect to shield the chilly air. To help keep warm, I wore these fleece lined tights. Andi also had a few pairs for our trip. I went to the Leanne Marshall show which was beautiful! There were mixes of silk, lace, stripes, pops of red and ruffles. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the show. I love the slip dress with the white lace top!

I had the BEST time at New York Fashion Week!! It was a whirlwind of Uber Pools, fashion shows, celebrities and walking… lots and lots of walking! I wasn’t sure what to expect as it was my first Fashion Week. To say that I overpacked would be an understatement. We brought Andi about 4 jackets too many. There was a snow storm the Thursday before we arrived, so I just wanted to make sure everyone had enough layers to keep warm. Mission accomplished! We arrived at the Laguardia airport around 10:45 on Saturday morning. Andi did extremely well on her very first flight. We took off around 8 am. She watched Despicable Me for about half an hour before falling asleep for the rest of the flight.
Unfortunately, I missed the Jill Stuart presentation, which was at 11am. 🙁 I was really disappointed but hope to get invited again in the future. We dropped off our luggage at The Lexington, where we were staying, and made our way over to Grand Central to have burgers from Shake Shack! I honestly could have eaten there every day. I do not like fries but theirs were SO GOOD! After lunch, we went back to our hotel to rest up before my first show. The Lexington was more than accommodating. They brought up a roll away crib for Andi and even let us have a 2pm check out on our last day. We are looking forward to staying there for the next NYFW.
My first show was Francesca Liberatore at 8pm. It was a long day but I was still pretty excited to get down to the show. I used Uber Pool for the first time, which was interesting. Navigating around NYC at night in the cold is not one of my favorite things, but I made it. I did not have a seat assignment for this show but it was still pretty exciting. My view was not the best for this show but I was able to get a few decent photos.
My feet and I were ready to get back to the hotel and go to bed. It was a long, amazing day. Check back tomorrow to read about Day 2!
Spring is just around the corner! I have been seeing floral prints everywhere I go. I found this adorable floral midi dress from the cutest online boutique! It is so soft and comfortable and under $25!! Here it is in some other color options. They even have it in a maxi version! My booties are also very comfortable. They are perfect for transitioning into the new season. They are also available in grey and beige.
How about that game last night?? My favorite quote of the evening was “Don’t ever count Brady OUT” We hung out at the house and Anthony made some Greek style ribs. We fixed Andi a bag of popcorn to snack on which she went nuts for. She was in such a good mood while eating it. I haven’t seen her that excited in a while! She had a pretty busy weekend. We had a play date on Saturday at Chik Fil A, and then she got to play with her favorite cousin on Sunday. They watched Frozen and then went to a play ground.
I am slowly getting around to packing for NYFW. I hope we can handle the cold weather. I have received so many tips from my readers on how to stay warm. I really appreciate all of the advice! We had a little cold front here last week and I was able to wear this plaid blanket scarf that I got last year. I may have to bring it with me for the plane ride. It is so warm and cozy. The best part… It is under $12! My sweater is on sale and still available in a few colors and sizes. These faux leather leggings are so comfortable and under $30.
We had tried to take photos in this outfit last week but it did NOT go well. It was extremely windy and my hair was ruined the minute I got out of the car. It was absolutely impossible to get a decent picture. Lipgloss was everywhere! Take 2 went much more smoothly.
I have always loved the tiered trend; tiered skirts, tops, dresses and even sleeves. It seems to be a timeless style. I had to have this tiered skirt from Rachel Parcell’s latest collection. I love the eyelet detail and the length is very flattering. It looks great with black, white, nude and even navy. Today I am wearing it with a black v neck blouse and pink pumps. It would be perfect to wear for Valentine’s Day! My top is on sale for under $28 and comes in 9 different colors!!!
I took a little time off to catch up on some things and spend some quality time with Andi. My birthday was last Thursday and I was so happy to spend it with my girl. I crawled in her crib in the morning when she woke up and we watched Despicable Me! (Our favorite movie!) She makes the funniest noise when you ask her “What do the Minions do?”. We spent the rest of the morning playing, dancing, reading and watching a few of her shows. I took her to Smoothie King in the afternoon for our favorite, Angel Food, then it was time for her nap. That evening, Anthony made the best fish wraps I had ever had! I am trying to talk him into making them again this week.
I am trying to get ready for New York Fashion Week and I have no idea what to bring. I may have to take my camel wool coat with me. It was in the 50’s here in Florida yesterday and I was freezing. I am happy that I purchased this coat last year. It has been put to good use. I paired it with my favorite nude heels, white high rise skinny jeans and this Burberry scarf. These jeans are my all time favorite. I think I may get them in this wash as well. They also come in black and aqua!
Thanks so much for stopping by!
January is almost coming to an end which means spring is right around the corner. The white out look is back again for 2017. I love this white lace top from Self Portrait. It is sold out but luckily I have found an identical version of it here for only $18! My bag is also a designer dupe! It is the perfect size to hold your keys, lipsticks, phone and wallet.
Top: Shein for only $18!! | Skirt: Zara old, similar from TopShop | Bag: Designer Dupe! Mine is only $30 from Shein See the designer version here | Heels: old Lulus; similar and under $50 here | Sunglasses: Karen Walker | Bracelet: old Francesca’s but similar here |
I hope you all had a great weekend. My mother in law and I took Andi with us to church and she actually took communion this time… For the most part. She almost fell asleep in my arms when we first got to church. She decided to get up at 6:30 am and not go back to bed like she usually does, so needless to say she was more ready than ever for her 1pm nap.
My sequin crop top is currently on sale! I loved the skirt so much that I had to order the top, too! I have paired it with a black Rachel Parcell pleated midi skirt, which I am obsessed with. I even wore it to church yesterday with this top.
Check back later this week as I will be hosting a giveaway!!
One of Andi’s favorite things to do is climb stairs. She can spend all day going up and down. When we were out taking photos last week, we came across these steps so naturally, she had to tackle them. She went for about 15 minutes before she decided she needed some gold fish and mandarin oranges to recharge her batteries.
We recently got this new diaper bag to give our other one a break. They are both amazing bags. Each has various pockets inside to keep everything organized. I like that the new one can convert into a backpack. It also has exterior pockets which makes it easy to keep sippy cups, phones and keys easily accessible. There are so many designer baby changing bags out there that it can be overwhelming to choose just one.
Andi’s sweater is an older color but there is a newer version which is adorable!
