Lady in the Red T-Shirt Dress

Happy weekend, everyone!

Let me just start off by saying that this dress is my absolute favorite shirtdress. Of. All. Time!  It is a little thicker so it is not see through. The fabric does not wrinkle; even if you are sitting for a while, which makes it the perfect travel dress and perfect for packing.  It is a little longer in the back which is a nice detail.  I also own the black version but I really like the vibrant red.

T-shirt dresses are really on-trend this season so I really liked this one because it’s a bit longer and has smaller sleeves that I think make this feel a little vintage.

This lipstick is my favorite red.  I have really considered purchasing a second just in case they discontinue this color when mine eventually runs out.  It goes on light so you have control over how dark you want it to be.  I usually wear it with MAC Cherry liner but today I have mixed it with Essence Nude, which is only; $2.99! I use the nude a lot to tone down some of my darker and brighter lipsticks.

I have gotten a lot of questions on what contour kits I use and I have several.  If I have a lot of time or am going out for a special occasion, I will use the Anastasia Cream Contour Kit and then use the Kat Von D Contour Palette on top which helps set the cream before I blend.  For daily use or if I don’t have that kind of time on my hands, I will use the Tarteist Contour Palette (which I am wearing in these photos) with this brush to apply.  I really like the Tarteist palette because it smells amazing, goes on quick, and comes with a beautiful pink blush.  I am so glad I ordered the Tarteist brush to apply the palette. It is very easy to use and really does a good job blending for a professional contour look.

The Chambray Dress and Suede Wedges

Happy Friday!! October is almost here, which basically means Christmas is just about tomorrow.   I hope it cools off by then.  It is still pretty warm here in Florida so I styled this chambray dress with some wedges – it’s still way too warm for boots right now.

Andi has a couple of socials coming up that she will need a Halloween costume for, so she’ll be extra cute.  🙂  I don’t think she will like anything with a headpiece but we’ll see!  I will keep you posted on what she decides.  I am looking forward to taking her trick or treating and to watch her reactions to everyone walking around.

I think this is just such a classic dress and the chambray detailing just makes it so feminine and delicate that I couldn’t help but gravitate to a piece like this. Styling this type of dress with a wide brim hat and espadrille wedges just makes it even more of a complete look!

This Rebecca Minkoff bag is also a perfect match for the outfit because it’s boho and matches both the hat and wedges I’ve paired with this outfit, so I loved how it really tied all aspects of this look together.

My “Mom On The Go” Dress – Who Says You Can’t Keep Stylish?

Happy Wednesday! Every day is starting to feel a little more like Fall here.  It is finally starting to cool down in the evenings, which is a nice change from how unbearably hot it has been. Because of this pleasant change, I’ve decided to feature one of my “Mom on the Go” outfits to showcase how you can keep cute without sacrificing style whenever you’re out and about with the family.

My dress is another great piece from Rachel Parcell.  It is an easy dress to just throw on for a put together look.  The quality is amazing and I know I will wear it a lot this season.  It would also look great with a felt hat and even a black cardigan.

stylish mommy blogger mom on the go outfit

This dress is the perfect combo of classic design, the monochrome trend, and comfort to feel great all day. It may be surprising to see me pair heeled booties with an outfit I’m labeling  as “on the go approved,” but booties are a seriously great way to inject style into any outfit – without sacrificing comfort. Trust me!

outfit of the day mom on the go

This dress had pockets, which I thought was wonderful as usual. You have no idea how useful it is to have a spot to store napkins and other baby-musts when you don’t have time to dig through a bag!

mom on the go ootd

This is an above-the-knee dress, but it’s long enough to make sure ou don’t have any Marilyn Monroe moments in the breeze! 🙂

This outfit is already pretty feminine and the black and white pattern is also bold, so the gold jewelry I picked is subtle and structured to add some balancing details to the whole look.

What do you consider an “on the go” outfit? I love styles like this when I’m out and about but, don’t get me wrong, I totally rock some active wear the other 50% of the time!

The Red Ruffle Shirt from Rachel Parcell

Happy Tuesday!

How cute is this ruffle top from Rachel Parcell’s latest collection?!  I almost didn’t order it but I am so glad that I did! It also comes in this pale pink color which I am seriously debating on ordering as well. It is longer in the back which makes it a perfect top to wear with leggings.  My booties are from last year but I have linked almost identical ones below.

I recently tried some samples from Rodan + Fields  and I have to admit… I LOVED the Night Renewing Serum.  My face has never felt so soft.  I noticed a difference immediately after applying.  I purchased the ESSENTIALS Foaming Sunless Tan a few weeks ago but haven’t had a chance to really try it all over yet.  I put some on my legs and feet and was very happy with the results.  I am excited to try a few other products and will post my reviews for you as I do.  I am considering ordering the REDEFINE AMP it up Special since it comes with the night serum I am obsessed with, plus a bunch of other goodies I think I would be interested in.

Feminine Touches With This Daisy Print Top

It’s the weekend!! I cannot believe we are almost at the end of September already!  Where does the time go?  I will say that I am really looking forward to October this year. But, before the costumes come out, I wanted to style this ultra-femme daisy print top.

Even though it is Andi’s second Halloween, it will be the first one she can actually participate in.  We can’t wait to take her to the Pumpkin Festival, go on a hay ride, pick out a costume and go trick or treating!  I am excited to see who she will pick to dress up as.  My guess would be Elena of Avalor but a girl can always change her mind. 🙂

I think tops like this are super cute and very on-trend. They remind me of something Andi would wear in a good way. I think mixing “young” prints with classic shapes, like this pleated full skirt, you can make some really fun looks.

A Flowy Dress For Fall

Happy Friday! We took these photos about a month ago and originally I wasn’t going to post them, but I really like the contrast with the green door.  Unfortunately, the pretty flowy dress I’m wearing is now sold out but I have linked a few very similar ones below.

I decided to style this blog in preparation for the fall and the slightly cooler weather it brings to our area of Florida! The light fabric has a lot of eyelets and detailing that I think gives the dress a very boho look that works well this season. When it gets colder, or if you just live in a much colder area, pairing this look with tights, booties, and a furry sweater or vest would complete the look!

Flowy dress mommy blogger

We had quite a bit to do this afternoon, so I reached for my Celine Luggage tote and some strappy sandals in this nice nude color to amp it up a little without sacrificing storage space in my bag. Even though these shoes are heels, the straps that you can tie further above your ankle make them super stable and easy to walk in.

This season, it seems like long sleeves and this boho or 70’s-inspired looks are in. But, because fashion repeats itself, I really think this is a dress you can keep for years and style it according to the trends that come and go. No matter what, it’s going to be a nice foundation piece for my closet.

Feminine Style 101: Blush and Wrap Dresses

Happy Wednesday! It has been a few days since I have posted anything.  I was super sick over the weekend and didn’t even leave my bed Saturday.  Thankfully, I am slowly starting to feel better and so far I don’t think I shared my illness with anyone… Fingers crossed!! So, I figured this was a perfect opportunity to post these pictures and share a little bit of a feminine style guide with you all.

feminine 7

Today I am wearing a soft and feminine maxi wrap dress from Rachel Pally.  It is on sale and sizes are going fast!  I threw a white tank up underneath since it has such a deep v neck, but adding extra coverage is really up to your tastes!

feminine 5

It’s the perfect dress to wear anywhere; brunch, a bridal or baby shower, or even for a day of shopping.  I can easily pair it with flat sandals and shorten it by blousing it a little more over the tie waist.

feminine 3

To keep things extra feminine, I went for these nude heels, a light lip, and small gold accessories! However, if I wanted to bolden things up, I could easily throw on red lipstick and pair the look with a black bag and shoes. It’s an easy way to take this outfit from day-to-night.

Going Bold With Peony Pink Lace

Happy Weekend!!

Rachel Parcell just announced that they are releasing their Fall collection on Monday morning.  They will be introducing 6 new styles!  I cannot wait to see what goodies will be in store.  Though this is usually true, I love everything that has come out thus far, especially this pink  lace pencil skirt from Spring.

I decided to go bold with this one and picked the pink lace variety instead of the other colors offered. However, I wanted to keep things comfy and kinda casual. By adding an oversized sweater, I have transformed it into a skirt that can be worn throughout the fall season.  It is extremely soft and has the right amount of stretch to it.

Mixing casual and formal is becoming a bit of a trend from what I’ve seen. And it makes sense, right? We don’t always want to go out and get looks for being overdressed, but we don’t want to leave our luxury items at home.

The solution? Mixing in casual clothing with your high-end items.

pink lace black sweater fall fashion

This sweater offers the perfect amount of balance to the outfit. It’s elevated by my Louboutin red bottoms and the Celine tote, but it pars down the brightness of the pink lace. Plus, the pink goes great with all-black accessories.

Pink Lace Celine Luggage Tote

It’s just the perfect outfit to throw on if you want to feel quite glam without going all out. On days where the weather is a little unpredictable, too, you could always wear a tank top and keep a sweater like this nearby to make sure you can stay comfortable in a pinch!

Layering With A Denim Jacket

Happy Thursday! I am excited to share this dress with you because it is extremely comfortable and ON SALE!  It is a super soft midi dress that was perfect for summer and great to wear early into the fall.  Today I have it paired with a denim jacket and sandals but you could also throw on a pair of ankle booties, like these, a jacket or cardigan, and a gold scarf.

Denim is such a great layering material for transitional or cooler seasons because it’s really sturdy and keeps the heat in. It’s a fabric of choice for winter and year-round, so why wouldn’t you reach for it in jacket-form? 🙂

denim blues 6

Using a denim jacket to layer on top of a floral dress is also a great way to keep wearing certain pieces throughout the year or, really, as long as you want to! Add layers, boots, or tights to take this outfit from Florida-fall to a winter!

denim blues 11

Instead of worrying about the weather getting too warm and needing a place to store your jacket, denim is a really great material to tie around your waist. In fact, celebs wear denim jackets around their waist as an accessory on its own!

denim blues 12

I’m also wearing this Rebecca Minkoff bag again to match with the shoes and bring some more natural color into this outfit. Floral dresses go really well with nude so it was a natural choice for me!

Baby Style: My Tiny Dancer

Happy Tuesday! One of Andi’s favorite things to do is to go walking.  She loves exploring down sidewalks and getting to see new things, so today we got dressed for a day out! Her baby style has always been about cutesy skirts

The deer statue immediately caught her eye so she had to go in for a closer look.  She kept saying “woof woof woof”, because she thought it was a dog.  Since I am not too sure what sounds deer actually make, I just went with it. It is really hard to get photos of her from the front since she is always on the move.

tiny dancer 9

I bought this skirt and top for her last year when she was still an infant.  We didn’t find out what we were having because we wanted to be surprised, so when she arrived, I was so excited to buy little girl clothes.  Many of the things I got for her are now starting to fit.  When I originally got everything, I thought it would be years before she could wear some of the outfits.  I can’t believe how fast time is flying by!tiny dancer 5

Thankfully, this skirt is also long enough to not fly up when she’s running around and exploring! That’s another reason this specific baby tutu is so cute!
