Happy Halloween, everyone! I am excited to take my girl out tonight to trick or treat for the first time! She will wear her Minnie Mouse costume for the third time this month. 🙂 She has gotten some good use out of it! Anyway, today’s blog is going to be all about how to wear a wrap – stylishly.
We’ve seen them all around, but sometimes they just seem to work on a person and other times… not so much. I wanted to show just one example of the many ways you can rock a wrap stylishly. This wrap is super soft and comes in three different colors. I also own the magenta which is just gorgeous! Because wraps tend to be a bit asymetrical and rise up, I wore a tank underneath, which has some sparkle to it.
I think that wraps are super versatile, but I haven’t tried wearing one with shorts yet since we’re in “winter” now – lol!
Because of the rich blue color of the wrap, white jeans and bold leopard print paired beautifully to create this really pulled-together look.
Another detail that caught my eye, which I’d also recommend looking out for, are the tassels on this wrap. They extend the bottom corners of the wrap and add some extra interest to what’s already a very pretty piece. They’re feminine and really fun, too!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a fun Halloween!
xx Niki and Andi

Hi everyone!! I wore this black lace dress for my 10-year high school reunion and I think it was the perfect choice! It is perfect to wear on a date, to an event, or even a night out on the town! It also comes in white, just in case you want to go for a lighter palette!
I can’t believe the weekend is basically here and October is almost over. It seems bittersweet to me because October is my favorite month of the year, but I am looking forward to the holidays with Andi this year.
The skater dress cut of this particular black lace dress is really flattering. No matter your body shape, that cinched-in waist really creates some great shape and definition to your look.
Since this was a bigger event, I went all out with some big loose curls, red lips, and a bold leopard print clutch! I think that my Louboutin red bottoms really took this dress and look to the next level, and people loved it!
There are tons of little black dresses out there, but this one also stood out to me because of the lace detailing. It’s not your typical flower-pattern lace, which I really liked and it just seemed a little more structured to give this look more oomph with the cap shoulders! The reunion was actually a lot of fun, so I’m really glad I went.

Happy Wednesday! I’ve been extremely busy the past week and didn’t have any time to post anything. I was in Pennsylvania for a business trip (which is where I got some excellent sweater weather) and then we took Andi to Disney this weekend for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. She would have had a better time but she came down with bronchiolitis. We have to use a nebulizer several times a day, which has seemed to help.
Andi loved It’s a Small World, the carousel, and the Winnie the Pooh ride. She cried whenever the rides were over because she didn’t understand why we stopped. She didn’t last long enough in the line to meet Princess Elena so luckily we were able to locate an Elena doll and sweatshirt in one of the gift shops. Andi was so happy when we gave her the doll. She wouldn’t even let us take it out of the box. She kept hugging her, patting her on the back and giving her kisses. It was the sweetest thing. We didn’t get any great photos from our mini Disney trip since she was feeling so yucky but we will get some next time. We might go again for Christmas!
Anyway, the weather in Pennsylvania really unleashed my love for fall! I really wish Florida had more “seasons,” so we could all get a break from the heat and enjoy some sweater weather. This sweater is so comfortable that I have literally lived in it this weekend. From Disney to running errands and even to the pediatrician’s office. It comes in 4 amazing fall colors. I really want the red and the green! Hurry up and snag some before they sell out. They are only $39 and going FAST! Size down as it runs large.
I hope you enjoy this gallery and the jewelry/details shots at the end! This outfit was both edgy and comfortable, so I just can’t get enough of it and hope you feel the same!

Happy Monday!! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We took Andi to a Halloween Social on Saturday night. She had a BLAST! She was dressed as Minnie Mouse and carried her glittery pink pumpkin bucket all over the place. Anytime someone put some goodies in her pale, she would have to dig through to check out her new treasures. She got popcorn, gummies, stickers, and even a new Minnie Mouse board book. We are taking her to Disney next weekend for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, so we will take some good photos of her costume. I can’t wait to see her reaction when we walk into the park. Hopefully we can locate her favorite, Princess Elena of Avalor.
This Bordeaux skirt is in one of my favorite colors for fall. It is a little shorter than her other pleated midi skirts which is nice.
This color. This skirt. These shoes. This combination. Just makes everything so much better! Especially the pleats!
This dress makes me feel like a princess! I could twirl forever in it.
I am really into mixing in leopard prints this season. It adds a great pop to an outfit.

Hello everyone! I decided to get an early start on casual Friday, and bring you Casual Dress Thursday. 🙂 I have been wearing/living in this dress all week. Between the way it just drapes over your silhouette and the high-low design, I just can’t get enough and several people have stopped me to ask where I got it.
I hope she comes out with other colors, or even a long sleeve version. I wore it to dinner on a chilly evening with a cardigan and it looked so cute! Not to mention it looks adorable with a scarf.
This dress is just so flowy and perfect and you all know how much I love flowy! Long, flowy…what more could I ask for?!
If you don’t already know, ShopBop is having a huge end of the season sale! My glasses are included! Spend up to $500 and receive 25% off your entire order. Spend $500 or more and receive 30% off your entire order! Use code MAINEVENT16 at checkout.

Happy Wednesday! Today is all about wearing hunter green and appreciating our beautiful area!
Here’s some product information about the cardigan I’m featuring: you guys have to order this cardigan! It is so soft and stretchy. It feels like a cozy plush blanket and comes in four colors. I really like the grey and burgundy varieties as well, but I went for this hunter green one just to balance out the other jewel tones I’ve been wearing lately. Since it’s under $50, I recommend grabbing one fast as sizes are selling out quickly.
These pictures were taken in a beautiful local green space and I just love how they all turned out. The heat is still pretty high, but it’s nice enough in the late afternoons to go out and not worry about getting too sticky!
I think this hunter green cardigan works really well with the all white outfit, which really lets the leopard print pumps speak for themselves. It’s all about mixing natural tones with natural patterns, and that’s why they work really well together.
If you want to change this look up a little bit, you could swap the all-white top and jeans for your favorite dark wash blue jeans and a beige top to really neutralize the color pallette.
I have been big on…well, big bags lately! Between my Celine Luggage tote and my Louis Vuitton Neverfull, it’s easy to match them with any outfit (since brown and black are really great foundational colors), and they have more than enough room to carry everything. That way I was still able to keep some bug spray around just in case – lol!
Thanks for stopping by! 🙂 Now that the weather’s getting better and better by the day, make sure you head to your local greenspace to take in some fresh air!

I am in LOVE with this dress from Rachel Parcell! The quality is amazing and the color is one of my favorites for Fall. I was so excited to put it on for this post. I cannot wait to wear it out!
My bracelet comes in three different colors and is only $30. I had a hard time deciding between this one and the black and gold one. It is so sparkly and can be dressed up or down.
I recently bought this lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury in two different colors. I have already worn them a few times and am extremely happy with it. I also ordered one of their eye shadow palettes. The colors go on smooth and blend easily. I will definitely be ordering other products from Charlotte Tilbury.

Happy Weekend, Everyone! My prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Matthew. We live on the west coast of Florida so luckily, we didn’t feel an impact.
I wanted to talk about styling a look that can transition from work to your night out if that’s your plan for the day – all without having to worry about bringing something to change into. So, for today’s blog, I have paired this leopard print skirt with a white top and heels.
Leopard is so in this Fall. From dresses, to shoes, hats, belts, and skirts! I predict that we’ll all be seeing a lot of it this season.
I think the combination of a white button-down and a pencil skirt is classic and basically guaranteed to never go out of style. By reaching for a leopard print skirt, you can really liven this look up even more so that it’s definitely office-ready and ready for a night out.
My heels are one of my favorite Louboutin Red Bottoms and I think they amp up this outfit, again, both for the office and the evening! I really can’t get enough of this look and, to be honest, with all the space in the Celine Luggage tote, it’s totally possible to keep a little clutch in there for your end of the day shenanigans.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Wednesday! These are some photos we took a few months ago. I can’t get over how long Andi’s eye lashes are! She says they are real and she doesn’t use serums but I have my doubts – hah! This is a short post because I am exhausted as I am typing this, but I really wanted to feature these mommy daughter dresses. Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!
