Hi everyone! While in New York for fashion week, I got the opportunity to spend the afternoon at DreamDry NYC with my Style Collective ladies. Founded by Rachel Zoe and Robin Moraetes, DreamDry is a salon experience where you can enjoy a glass of champagne, get a blowout, braid or updo and even shop for some beautiful jewelry or candles before you go!
This was an absolutely wonderful thing to do this NYFW trip. Founded by Rachel Zoe and Robin Moraetes, DreamDry is a salon experience where you can enjoy a glass of champagne, get a blowout, braid or updo and even shop for some beautiful jewelry or candles before you go!
There are five locations based in New York City, Chicago, and Atlanta. If you are ever in any of these areas, you have to check them out! The whole experience felt very personalized and relaxing. I am so happy that I am a member of Style Collective and was able to attend this special event. They are an amazing group of women; each so supportive and inspiring.

Hi Everyone! This year’s Fashion Week NY is every fashion-lovers dress and I’m so glad that I was able to attend a few shows and get an insider look at the trends I’m sure we’ll be seeing this year!
Just as a quick note: if you haven’t already, enter my giveaway below for an Aveda mini Chakra set! They smell amazing!
I am sharing what I wore to the Christopher Esber show. My vest is on sale, and you an get an additional 20% off by signing up. I am still in love with this sweater. I have seen so many like it lately, so this trend will be around for a while.
This was a really interesting show. “Parallel to the theme of an automobile’s power and energy is the woman who is bold, fearless and on the move.” I loved the representation of the car parts on the set. Unique to Christopher Esber are custom resin closures. Buttons were inspired by the high gloss timber surfaces of car interior fixtures. There was a well balanced mix of masculine and feminine styles.
Happy Tuesday! The second day of NYFW was incredible and I’m really excited to share my New York Fashion Week street style with you! Being a Florida girl in New York means I get to play with layering, gloves, and cold weather accessories like never before – and I love it!
I am excited to share this look with you, as it was one of my favorites. My dress is from Free People. It is a nice thick suede. It was perfect to shield the chilly air. To help keep warm, I wore these fleece lined tights. Andi also had a few pairs for our trip. I went to the Leanne Marshall show which was beautiful! There were mixes of silk, lace, stripes, pops of red and ruffles. Here are a few of my favorite looks from the show. I love the slip dress with the white lace top!
Happy Monday! I had the BEST time at New York Fashion Week!! It was a whirlwind of Uber Pools, fashion shows, celebrities and walking… lots and lots of walking! I wasn’t sure what to expect as it was my first Fashion Week. But, all in all, I have to say that NYFW 2017 was one of my favorites so far since I usually follow the shows online when I’m in Florida. To be here in person, though, was amazing.
This blog has tons of photos from our first day, so keep scrolling to see my outfit, pics from our flight over, and, most importantly, photos from the NYFW 2017 shows!
To say that I overpacked would be an understatement. We brought Andi about 4 jackets too many. There was a snow storm the Thursday before we arrived, so I just wanted to make sure everyone had enough layers to keep warm. Mission accomplished! We arrived at the Laguardia airport around 10:45 on Saturday morning. Andi did extremely well on her very first flight. We took off around 8 am. She watched Despicable Me for about half an hour before falling asleep for the rest of the flight.
Unfortunately, I missed the Jill Stuart presentation, which was at 11am. 🙁 I was really disappointed but hope to get invited again in the future. We dropped off our luggage at The Lexington, where we were staying, and made our way over to Grand Central to have burgers from Shake Shack! I honestly could have eaten there every day. I do not like fries but theirs were SO GOOD! After lunch, we went back to our hotel to rest up before my first show. The Lexington was more than accommodating. They brought up a roll away crib for Andi and even let us have a 2pm check out on our last day. We are looking forward to staying there for the next NYFW.
My first show was Francesca Liberatore at 8pm. It was a long day but I was still pretty excited to get down to the show. I used Uber Pool for the first time, which was interesting. Navigating around NYC at night in the cold is not one of my favorite things, but I made it. I did not have a seat assignment for this show but it was still pretty exciting. My view was not the best for this show but I was able to get a few decent photos.
My feet and I were ready to get back to the hotel and go to bed. It was a long, amazing day. Check back tomorrow to read about Day 2!
Happy Wednesday! For those of you who have been following my blog for a while you probably know a few things about me. I absolutely love anything midi and anything floral. And that’s why this floral midi dress was a must for me to grab.
Spring is just around the corner! I have been seeing floral prints everywhere I go. I found this adorable floral midi dress from the cutest online boutique! It is so soft and comfortable and under $25!! Here it is in some other color options. They even have it in a maxi version! My booties are also very comfortable. They are perfect for transitioning into the new season. They are also available in grey and beige.
This dress, in my opinion, is a romantic style. The soft florals mixed in with the black is a quieter type of floral if you aren’t ready to jump in headfirst with bright, summer-ready florals. When I was getting ready, soft curls and a light red lipstick were the perfect companions to this dress.
I’m absolutely not ready for fall/winter to be over, but that’s okay because these booties can be worn year round. The unique cut-out details and small heel mean that these shoes can be worn with colorful socks or none at all – depending on the weather and your look.
I kept my accessories simple because I didn’t want to detract from the beauty of this piece. A bronze-y gold cuff was enough!
How about that game last night?? My favorite quote of the evening was “Don’t ever count Brady OUT.” We hung out at the house and Anthony made some Greek style ribs. We fixed Andi a bag of popcorn to snack on, which she went nuts for. She was in such a good mood while eating it. I haven’t seen her that excited in a while! She had a pretty busy weekend. We had a play date on Saturday at Chik Fil A, and then she got to play with her favorite cousin on Sunday. They watched Frozen and then went to a play ground.

I am slowly getting around to packing for NYFW. I hope we can handle the cold weather. I have received so many tips from my readers on how to stay warm. I really appreciate all of the advice! We had a little cold front here last week and I was able to wear this plaid blanket scarf that I got last year. I may have to bring it with me for the plane ride. It is so warm and cozy. The best part… It is under $12! My sweater is also on sale and still available in a few colors and sizes. These faux leather leggings are so comfortable and under $30.

We had tried to take photos in this outfit last week but it did NOT go well. It was extremely windy and my hair was ruined the minute I got out of the car – oops! It was absolutely impossible to get a decent picture. Lipgloss was everywhere! Take 2 went much more smoothly as you’ll see in these pics.
I have always loved the tiered trend; tiered skirts, tops, dresses, and even sleeves. It seems to be a timeless style. I had to have this tiered skirt from Rachel Parcell’s latest collection. I love the eyelet detail and the length is very flattering. It looks great with black, white, nude and even navy. Today I am wearing it with a black v neck blouse and pink pumps. It would be perfect to wear for Valentine’s Day! My top is on sale for under $28 and comes in 9 different colors!!!
Blush pink is huge this season and I really love how subtle it is. When you have lighter toned skin, it can be hard to find a pastel or light color that doesn’t wash you out, but blush pink (which is also now known as “tumblr pink!”) does a good job of toeing the line between light and just the right amount of color.
If you’re looking for a cute yet comfortable Valentine’s Day outfit, I’d look for something similar! The long sleeves kept me feeling great in the (slightly) cooler weather and I think they balanced out the length of the tiered skirt. Pairing the solid color and classic shape of the skirt with this top sealed the deal for me. Plus, the Celine Luggage bag was an interesting way to pair off the outfit, since my top and bag matched just like my shoes and skirt complemented each other.
I hope you all are enjoying your week and stay stylish. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by!
