Hi Everyone! I cannot believe April is almost over! It is getting so hot in the afternoons. I am NOT looking forward to the rising temperatures.
I am, however, looking forward to taking Andi swimming. I know she is going to love it. The other day, she spotted a fountain and was ready to jump in! I’ll post pictures of that on my Instagram tomorrow. 🙂
Today’s look features feminine florals that I just love and my nude Louboutins! Keep scrolling to see how I paired the two.
This dress kinda gives me a hippie vibe, so I wanted some long and pronounced curls and bohemian jewelry to showcase that era.
There’s a “rule” in fashion that said you should have shoes that differ from the rest of your outfit to add some more dimension to the look. However, rules are meant to be broken! I really like the neutral color of the dress, the muted florals, and the way these nude Louboutin heels complement each other.
Thanks for stopping by! Hope you enjoyed this quick post.
Hi Everyone! I wanted to give you some outfit inspiration for the summer. It is really warm in Florida, but I wanted to keep wearing long sleeves as much as I can! That’s why I paired this bright yellow top with the nice daisy skirt I showed you in a previous blog.
I am really into spring bell sleeves right now. I have been wearing this top a lot lately. See how I first wore it here. I was excited to see that it pairs perfectly with my daisy skirt from Rachel Parcell, and it is under $50!
It’s important to me to find different ways to wear outfit pieces to get the most out of my closet. I know a lot of fashion experts recommend thinking of a minimum of three outfits you’d be able to pair a specific piece with before you buy it. Once I started doing that, I noticed that I was able to put together some looks that I didn’t really think of because I had always paired the same pieces together rather than mixing it up. This outfit is today’s result!
This daisy lace skirt looks great with the little crop top that came with it (it was a set), but I think that the yellow top fits in with the “theme” of the skirt’s print without playing into it so much like the matching crop top does. The yellow top is a boxier cut, which makes it drape nicely in comparison with the tight fit of the skirt.
I hope that you enjoyed this look and maybe try out some statement sleeves! Thanks!
I really love the way this top looks with white skinny jeans! It even looks great with red or dark pink pants, but I think the white color and fit of the jeans make this outfit so crisp and summer-ready. The best part this top is is under $36!! Grab one before they’re gone!
Also, I am obsessed with this lipstick lately. It’s a pink-nude color and, on my skin tone, it’s just the perfect color to look like my natural lips but with an extra pop! It stays on all day and comes in some beautiful colors.
Andi was also enjoying herself during this shoot and she loved calling me over for some mommy-daughter time.
I bought this Rachel Parcell spring seersucker dress a few weeks ago and I am obsessed! It is so cool and lightweight that I can wear it into the summer. I love the lace detail and the bell sleeves are so trendy right now. You can pop it with so many different color shoes, jewelry, and bags. I’ve been loving this white dress look this season because of how crisp it is – and the light material helps keep me cool in this Florida heat.
Hi there and happy Wednesday! Today’s blog is all about looking polished while wearing ripped jeans! To be honest, I was always a little skeptical of styling ripped jeans with “nicer” tops, but I think there’s definitely a good way of doing it.
Last week I went to Target to check out the Victoria Beckham for Target collection. I loved just about everything! This gingham peplum top was one of my favorite pieces. It sold out pretty quickly, so I found this one that is almost identical.
While we were out shooting in the neighborhood, I couldn’t help but be blown away by how gorgeous these flowers and old-looking gate are!
When you’re wearing ripped jeans, it’s important to balance it out if you want to avoid a totally grungey look – it’s totally up to your fashion sense! The dark wash of the jeans also lends to the entire outfit looking very put together, as well, because it’s such a “normal” look that it doesn’t draw much attention aside from the tears.
Another way I think I was able to look polished while wearing ripped jeans was pairing the look with these Christian Louboutin red bottoms. They match the top perfectly, the red bottoms provided a sneaky little pop of color, and amp up the entire look.
I have also linked a few really cute gingham tops below in my “Shop The Post” section. Scroll down to see more!
Hi there! I can’t believe it’s this time of year already, but I wanted to make the best of how fast time has been flying and show you my Easter 2017 look book!
I hope you all had an amazing Easter! We spent the day with friends and family. The weather was perfect, which made for a great time to shoot some photos.
Easter is all about the pastels, so this blush pink top really added the perfect touch and kept things modest along with this textured white midi skirt. I think that the poof with this skirt added an extra feminine touch to this outfit, which is something I look out for whenever I’m wearing a button-down top.
We have been looking forward to giving Andi her Easter basket and helping her hunt for eggs all week. This was her first year participating and she caught on pretty quickly. At first, she would find an egg and open it immediately to see what was inside.
She finally realized she should find them all as quickly as possible, and THEN open them up. Her basket was stuffed with all of her favorite things: M&M’s, Hershey Kisses, chapsticks with Disney Princesses on them, shoes, dresses, princess dolls and some Elena of Avalor goodies. It was almost like Christmas! She spent the day playing with her cousins and her Pappou. By the time we got home she was exhausted. I gave her a bath and put her to bed. It was a full day for everyone. 🙂
Happy Good Friday! Easter is just a few short days away and I have been running around like crazy getting last minute things for Sunday. We were lucky enough to get invited to our new Sprouts Farmers Market for a private tour before they officially opened. It was perfect, because I needed to get things for a new meal plan that I am starting this week. To say it is our new favorite grocery store, is an understatement. They have fresh, natural and organic groceries at amazingly affordable prices. Eating healthy doesn’t have to break the bank if you shop at Sprouts. They carry everything from cage free eggs, refrigerated breads, grass-fed beef, and even an in house butcher, who can custom cut, season, and even provide cooking suggestions. Sprouts stores contain around 18,000 products, 90 percent of which are natural or organic.
The store itself felt comfortable and easy to navigate. I hate going to grocery stores that feel intimidating and are hard to find what you are looking for. That wasn’t the case at Sprouts Farmers Market. Like it’s name, Sprouts felt like a southern, old time farmers market. From it’s decor down to it’s prices.
Anthony and I were blown away in the produce section. Everything looked colorful and delicious. They even offer to cut anything open for samples if you want to try before you buy. Produce can be found in the center of the store. Sprouts’ produce prices are on average 20 to 25 percent below other supermarkets.
We learned that Wednesday is one of their best days to save money and get more bang for your buck. They call it “Double Ad Wednesday”. Their weekly ad runs from Wednesday to Wednesday, which means if you happen to go on Wednesday, you can double your saving when the ads overlap.
The new mobile coupon app makes it even easier to save on Sprouts’ already low prices! Simply download the Sprouts app for iPhone or Android, create an account, digitally clip your coupons and then scan the barcode at checkout. I can’t wait to go back and pick up some new things to try. I could have spent hours there the other night.
Hi Everyone! Today’s look of the day is featuring another Rachel Parcell beauty. Seriously, this bell sleeve top is just to die for! I’ll say it time and time again, the retro/70’s trend is going to be sticking around for a while, so this hippie-inspired top was the perfect purchase.
I paired it with some medium wash jeans and a simple pair of brown strappy heels to complete the look.

With an outfit like this, I don’t think you need to go overboard with too many accessories! My gray watch was a touch of neutral-color to offset the metallic gold of the bag (which I loved using as my “pop” for today’s look).
All in all, this was just such a fun look of the day that I think I’ll be rocking it quite a bit this summer. Can you believe we have less than a week until Easter?! I made a stop at Target yesterday to get everything for all the Easter goodies. I am extremely anxious to pass them out. There were so many cute things, especially the baskets! How cute is this one that I found for Andi? She is going to explode when she sees what’s inside.
Check back this week for more Spring style inspiration!
Happy Friday, Everyone! The weather this week has been absolutely beautiful but a cooler breeze has definitely been sticking around! I wanted to style some summer pants that were just as light and airy as they were summery with the beautiful floral pattern!
On Monday, we took Andi to a local botanical garden to take some pictures. It was so nice to let her run around and get some fresh air. As we were exploring, one of the volunteers came out to release some butterflies and asked if Andi would like to help. She was excited to see them up close, but not so excited to see them leave when we unzipped the net. She was sniffling and calling after them, as if they would just come back. Even though it wasn’t the outcome Andi had anticipated, it was a great thing for her to experience. She is so curious and wants to know how everything works. We love watching her examine everything; especially animals!
One detail about these pants that I really like is the length. Because they’re a little bit longer, I think it makes them a bit more formal and retro-inspired. And they just go perfectly with some nice flats on a hot day like today!
Summer pants are a little different from you usual go-to jeans. This pair is such a breathable and flowy material that it almost feels like I’m wearing a maxi skirt. The upside? These will let you run around and explore without worry!
Although I think these summer pants would look great with a tighter-fitting top, I wanted to go for a tonal, loose top to keep that flowy silhouette going. I think it ended up being pretty comfy and chic, especially with a delicate long necklace and these super fab sunglasses by Karen Walker – I just love the arrow detail!

Hi everyone! Happy Wednesday! I am so excited that this daisy two piece was restocked! It sold when it was first released last summer. I love that it is a top and a skirt, so it can be worn together or separate! Because of the time of year we’re in, I think that this daisy two piece would make a really beatiful Easter outfit. Actually, I’m thinking of wearing it this weekend for Palm Sunday!
Since this daisy two piece is so bright and cheery, these yellow sunglasses were the best accessory to go with! The pale pink lip definitely balances things out, but I know that I’d also like to try this outfit with a bright red lipstick as we get more into summer.
What do you guys think of two pieces? All in all, I don’t have too many of them in my closet but I may start taking a closer look at them the next time I go shopping! I honestly think it looks just like a dress.
