Hi there! I would like to start out by sending prayers to anyone who has been affected by Hurricane Harvey. Watching the news is just devastating. If you are able to make a contribution, head over to the American Red Cross. Every little bit helps!
Although we did not get hit by the storm, it has been raining non stop here in Florida. There has been some flooding in certain areas, but thankfully, we haven’t have any issues.
I decided to throw this casual look together before we went “out to eat” (Chick-Fil-A, if you will). FFC New York sent me these flats last week and I have been dying to wear them! They are a super soft micro-suede with a nice padded footbed. They also come in black! I love the mesh detailing.
Since it is basically Fall, I couldn’t help but break out my leopard belt. I love mixing animal prints with pops of color!
Hi there! We are nearing the end of the week (thank goodness!). It has been a busy one for us. Andi had her open house for pre school on Monday. She loved the classroom and the teacher (yay!). Yesterday was her first official day. She went from nine to noon. She did great! Momma… not so much. Andi ran right in and started playing with a doll house in the back of the room. She didn’t even look back at us. I can’t believe my little girl is in school!! This is craziness!
We enjoyed breakfast at Tesoro Cove both mornings that we were there. It is one of their on property restaurants that serves an amazing breakfast. There was a wide variety to choose from on the American-style buffet, including made to order eggs, pancakes and waffles! Andi was most pleased with the chocolate milk and bananas.
I loved the design of the restaurant. It was an open plan overlooking the pool with floor to ceiling windows. The lighting was perfect for photos and there were bold pops of color throughout the room.
We came up with a fun game during our stay. Whenever we would press the button for an elevator, (there were four) we each took a guess at which one would open for us. Andi was pretty good and got it right almost every time we played!
On our second night, we went to Epcot to ride the Frozen ride. We had a Fastpass (thank goodness). We stayed for the fireworks which are a must see if you get a chance to watch them and haven’t already. We made our way back to the hotel and there was a lovely surprise delivered to the room just for Andi… a birthday cake!! When making the reservation arraignments, they had asked for Andi’s age for breakfast menu purposes. I told them she was turning 2 on the 19th, which was 4 days after our stay at the Wyndham. It was so sweet and extremely thoughtful that they sent a cake an a personalized birthday card during her birthday trip to Disney. They really went above and beyond and I cannot say enough great things about our stay! As you can see from the photos, she was over the moon with her cake. She had us sing “happy birthday” at least 10 times while she ate it.
Happy Monday, Everyone! Were you able to experience the solar eclipse? It got a little darker here for a few minutes. Andi was more interested in swimming than looking at the eclipse. 🙂
Last weekend, I had the opportunity to partner with Zurchers (pronounced zer kers) for Andi’s 2nd birthday party. They had everything I needed and such a large selection to choose from. I went with the Liberty theme. I love the mix of floral prints. Everything arrived quickly and looked beautiful! It was exactly what I had envisioned.
Hi everyone! What a fun week we had with Andi!! If you have been following along on my Instagram, you saw that we were at Disney World for a few days. It was her early birthday present as she is turning 2 *sniffle* this Saturday. I was thrilled when Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek agreed to do a collaboration with me during our stay in Orlando. We had an amazing experience with them. The moment we walked in the lobby we were welcomed by the friendliest faces. The front desk attendee was extremely informative and had some great suggestions for where to eat on the property.
Our room was the perfect size for us. We had a king bed with a balcony that overlooked the golf course. Andi got to sleep on the pull out bed, which she loved! It was her first time sleeping in a “big girl bed”. She did better than expected. We thought for sure that she would get up and run around since there weren’t crib walls keeping her in, but she stayed put until she fell asleep each night.
Shortly after settling in the room, there was a knock on our door. Much to our surprise, room service was delivering a welcome package. We received this beautiful cheese and fruit spread with my favorite cabernet by Kendall-Jackson!
Every detail in the resort was perfectly planned out. The colors and fabrics gave it a sophisticated charm. Each room had a luxurious appeal to it.
Our first night, we took Andi to the pool. She had a blast! There are 5 pools, 2 lazy rivers, a water slide, and a pirate ship with a tunnel to crawl through. We had to bribe her with ice cream for her to even consider leaving. We found a nice spot outside to watch the Epcot fireworks without having to leave the resort.
I will be sharing more photos from our stay at the Wyndham Grand Orlando next week, as well as a post from her birthday party.
We are currently at Disney World! Andi has been so anxious to come here. Everyday this past weekend she was asking when we were going to Disney. We drove up yesterday afternoon and spent the evening at our hotel, the Wyndham Grand Orlando Resort Bonnet Creek. If you come to Disney and need a somewhere to stay, we HIGHLY recommend this one! The grounds are beautiful and it has all the amenities you could want or need. There are several pools on location that you have access to, including one with a waterslide! We were able to sit by the water and watch the fireworks and eat ice cream, which was a nice treat after a long swim in the pool. I will be sharing details and photos from our stay on my next blog post, so check back! You can also watch my InstaStories for some exclusive videos of our trip.
I am excited to finally share this outfit with you. Most of my pieces were from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. While these items are no longer the sale price, they have been restocked in most if not all sizes. My cardigan is such a fun statement piece that I will be wearing a lot this upcoming season. It is only $85 and also comes in black! I am wearing the 2 for size reference. Scroll down to see closer details.
Earlier this week, we made a trip downtown to take some pictures and walk around. I have been eyeing this skirt since before we went to Miami for Swim Week. You know the saying, “If you can’t stop thinking about it, buy it!”. So here we are! Sequins and stripes are such a fun look. I love this striped lightweight tee from J.Crew.
^^ I had to share this photo! I kneeled down to take a photo with her, and she felt she needed to kneel with me. So cute!! I just love her. 🙂
A few weeks ago, I received a package from Rachel Parcell and this time, it wasn’t something that I had ordered myself. I was so excited! Inside was this beautiful chiffon blouse with the cutest button and tie details, and a sweet note from Rachel. I was disappointed that I wasn’t able to make it out to her pop-up shop, but this definitely made up for it! It just launched today, along with another top which I ended up ordering. 🙂
Hello and Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing what I wore for our first day at Miami Swim Week. I knew these cropped wide leg pants would be PERFECT for Miami Fashion, so I ordered them as soon as I found out we were making the trip down there for some shows.
Miami is all about fun, being outside, and being around family and friends. It’s no wonder that Miami Swim Week pulled such a fun and large crowd – we were all fashion lovers looking to soak up the sun together! There’s always music playing and women gravitate to more beach-friendly and colorful attire.
I really love the vibes given off by Miami fashion. These bright and flowing clothes were perfect for our weekend here and it really suited the tropical environment!
A lot of the shows were held at the W Hotel. It was a gorgeous venue! We were able to take some nice photos in the courtyard. If you are in the Miami Beach area, I highly recommend checking them out, even if you just stop by for a cocktail.
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check out my friend, Michelle’s look from Day 1!
