Did anyone go to any Halloween parties this weekend? I did not, however, we did take Andi and her cousin Paulina to Hunsader Farms Pumpkin Festival. The girls had a great time! Andi could not stop talking about the cannon that shot a pumpkin out of it. We all enjoyed the hayride, corn maze and of course, the food!
I am excited to tell you about my new favorite boutique in Sarasota! If you are in the area, you must check out Scout and Molly’s Boutique! The selection is amazing and there is something for everyone. From trendy fashion pieces to casual everyday wear, they have it all. Everything in the shop is high quality from the fabrics down to the extra attention to detail.
I picked up this outfit a few weeks ago from Scout and Molly’s Boutique and I am obsessed. I can mix and match each piece to create many other looks. My cardigan is currently my most favorite thing in my wardrobe. I have worn it numerous times and just can’t get enough! I love the texture and it feels so soft and silky. My top is faux suede and the dusty rose color is great for almost every season. I have been wanting a pair of jeans like this for a while now. I like the slight bell bottom with the raw edge. They have a little stretch to them and are thick enough so that they are not see through. (win win!)
If you aren’t in the Sarasota area, give them a call and order over the phone! 941-955-2170
Make sure to follow them on Instagram for the newest arrivals and outfit inspiration!
The temperatures have finally dropped here in Florida! It was in the mid 70’s most of the day and got down to the 60’s last night. It is finally starting to feel like (Floridan) Fall! On Monday night, we went over to my in laws to carve pumpkins and decorate Halloween cookies. It was our first time carving a pumpkin. I found a Disney Princess carving set that came with several stencils. Andi wanted a Cinderella pumpkin so Anthony worked on that for over an hour. Head over to my Instagram to see the finished product. It looks incredible!
I am obviously into the black and blue combo right now. I shared this look last week and here I go again! I just love how it looks and it is perfect for this season. My mock neck floral midi dress is just under (one penny to be exact) $40. I like that it has almost a gothic edgy look to it, making it a great dress to wear this month.
It has been a few days since I have done a blog post. Sorry about that! I am in Philly for business and haven’t had much time to get anything together. I have never been around this city before. It reminds me a lot of NYC. I couldn’t decide if I wanted to go explore this afternoon, but I decided to stay in my hotel room to relax and catch up on some work. I also plan on doing my BBG workout that I missed last night! (oops)
This is what I wore this afternoon for meetings.I love the black and blue combo, and tights are my favorite layering piece for Fall. They can make rompers, dresses and shorts more appropriate for cooler weather. My heels are an older style but I have found a great dupe that are only $74! For the meeting, I did trade out the heels for a pair of black heeled booties, which Andi calls “Anna’s boots”… You know, Elsa’s sister. She insists on wearing them every day with her princess dresses. I hope she didn’t need them this week.. haha! I go home tomorrow morning and cannot wait to see Andi and Anthony. 🙂
We are back from a short trip to Disney World. Andi had the best time! We attended Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party the first night we were there. If you haven’t been before, you need to purchase a separate ticket for the event. (Yes, even if you are already a passholder). It is totally worth it. The party is from 7pm-midnight. Since we are already passholders, we spent the first half of the day around Magic Kingdom. Mid afternoon we made our way to the hotel for a little nap before the party. After our naps (we all needed one) Andi put her Snow White costume on and we went back to the park.
Side Note: We had originally planned to let her pick out a princess costume at the Magic Kingdom for her to wear, but I spotted these at Wal-Mart for only $15! It was really hard to pass up since I could get 4 for the price of one at the park. She loves them and wears a different one each day.
Since you need a special ticket to attend Mickey’s Halloween party, the park isn’t as packed as it usually is. Don’t get me wrong, there are still a ton of people there, but it isn’t as bad. Upon entering, each person is given a wrist band and a trick or treat bag to collect candy. They turn off the Fast Pass options so the lines move a little faster. We didn’t have to wait long at all for the rides we went on. There are trick or treat stations throughout the park, marked by life size candy corn colored inflatable signs. You can’t miss them! Andi got the hang of trick or treating in no time at all! Along with a ton of candy, there is a fun Halloween parade, fireworks show, and a ton of rare Disney characters throughout the park. Some are dressed in their own Halloween costumes!
Here is the outfit I wore on the way home. This loose and casual dress is perfect for travel. The fabric is super soft and comfortable. I love that it has pockets! The best part, it’s only $38!
Hello there! I hope you are having a good week so far! I decided to wear this purple (faux) leather skirt on Monday to spend the afternoon downtown. I got it for less than $30 during a 40% off promo. Check back next week to see how I style it for a completely different look!
It’s Monday again! Luckily this week is going a lot better than last go around. We had a pretty rough week last week. Andi has had a little could for the past two and a half weeks. We took her to the pediatrician twice because her cough wasn’t getting any better. The doctor said it was just a virus and it would have to run it’s course. It seemed like it was fading away but then out of nowhere, last Tuesday she was burning up. Andi was hot to the touch and didn’t want to eat or get out of bed. I took her back to the doctor and they said her hold had progressed into pneumonia! They gave her a shot of antibiotics and wanted to see her again the next day. After a long nap and watching Beauty and the Beast in bed, her fever broke and she felt like a new woman. She was excited to be able to go back to school today. She really missed her teachers and the kids in her class. We are so relieved that she is feeling better. I hate seeing her miserable.
I am sharing this outfit I wore last week. My bell sleeve sweater is on sale with a few sizes left. I have also linked the other colors that it comes in. These jeans have been on repeat since I purchased them several months ago. They are under $80 and super comfortable!
I have found the perfect off the shoulder dress for Fall! I shared this dress on my Instagram the other day and got a lot of questions about it. Believe it or not, it is from Lilly Pulitzer! I love their prints but they also have some great solid pieces. I like pairing my solid outfits with pops of color or printed accessories, like my favorite leopard clutch! Off the shoulder is still trending, making this a perfect piece for my wardrobe. It looks great with just a pair of gold sandals and would be easy to layer with tights, ankle booties and a scarf!
I bought my boots from Nordstrom last year but I have linked an almost identical pair below. Scroll down to check out all of my outfit details!
P.S. Head over to Lilly Pulitzer and check out their new mens and boys collection! I think it’s gonna go fast, so grab some pieces while they are still available!
Hello! Happy October to you! I was thrilled this morning when I went outside to find that the temperature had actually dropped a little. It is slowly starting to feel like a Florida Fall!!
I bought this hooded cardigan last week from the RP Everyday Shop. It is a shop with hand picked, affordable pieces that can be worn daily. Most items are sold out but there will be a restock soon, so keep checking back!
