Basic Invite

Hi everyone!

I recently partnered with Basic Invite and wanted to share the details with you!  I picked out business cards, thank you notes, and some pretty “thank you” stickers as an added touch to go with my envelopes.  Since starting our own business, I was in desperate need of these items.  I was thrilled when Basic Invite reached out to me for this collaboration!!

I knew I wanted something feminine with gold accents.  I was pleased to see how many options they had available with gold foil!  You can choose the foil to be flat or raised.  I should also mention, as the season is quickly approaching, that their foil holiday cards are available in gold, silver and rose gold!

Hayes Tough

Last year, I learned about this sweet little boy named Hayes, and his battle with childhood cancer. He is the baby of triplets born March 12th, 2015 and the youngest of 6 children.  He began to get sick and after being misdiagnosed several times, they finally discovered a tumor on his brain.  He was diagnosed with an extremely rare and aggressive form of cancer called choroid plexus carcinoma.  He received 6 rounds of chemo and a stem cell transplant.  Hayes went into remission for 6 months.  He brought hope to so many people but in November 2016, his cancer returned.  On December 3rd, 2016 at just 20 months old, he lost his battle. I cant even begin to imagine what the Tate family has gone through. I’ve spent hours scrolling through their Instagram posts and crying over a family that I don’t even know.  Cancer is devastating no matter what age the victim, but childhood cancer just isn’t even fair.  I have way too many “How” and “Why” questions about cancer in children to even begin to list on here but I am sure you have asked yourself the same ones.

Hayes’ parents, Steve and Savanna Tate, started a foundation dedicated to provide hope and financial support to families affected by childhood cancer. You can read more about Hayes Tough Foundation here.  I am so inspired by what they have been able to do and how Hayes’ story has helped so many families in similar situations.  I wanted to share a few ways that you could help.

Rachel Parcell released a dress last year in which all of the proceeds were donated to the Hayes Tough Foundation.  You can read her original post here.  It is one of my favorite fall dresses and has been brought back again!  She has also released a new dress this year in a beautiful sage green color to honor Hayes.  Being a triplet, Hayes’ assigned color was green. Green is a symbol of his courage and known as “Hayes Hints”. You can shop both of these gorgeous dresses at Rachel Parcell today.  All of the proceeds from these two dresses will be donated to the Hayes Tough Foundation!

We are proud to announce that we will be donating 15% of any sales on Shop Andi’s List now through Thursday, October 11th!

You can also donate directly to the Hayes Tough Foundation here.

There are so many ways that you can make a difference. Anything helps so please take a moment to give to children and their families who are fighting against cancer.
